Hydro Jetting Service

How Does Sewer Jetting Work?

Hydro jet cleaning uses a powerful stream of water pressurized at about 3,500 psi to 4,000 psi (20,000 psi can cut steel). Sewer jetting machines have specialized nozzles attached to a hose that is long enough to fit from one end of the sewer pipe to the other.

These nozzles have jets that work together to break up debris and wash them away. They often have multiple rear-facing jets that wash debris back by propelling the nozzle forward and one jet facing forward that rips a hole through the debris.

How do we use Hydro Jetting?

When cleaning the main sewer line, we usually start at the system’s lower end and hydro jet toward the building since the jet washes the debris back.

This causes the blockages to flow toward the city into larger pipes, rather than flowing back toward the building. Jets begin at the septic tank opening when cleaning septic tank systems.
