Park Ridge Sewer Rodding

Old lines block. We unblock them, gently.

Park Ridge sewer lines are mostly vintage clay under mostly vintage trees — a recipe for roots. Rodding clears them without drama: the right cutting head, a careful pace, and a camera check to finish.

Pro Services installed a 6 inch clean out and placed a lateral liner in our sewer line. What can I say, they did and excellent and professional job from start to finish. They're a great company.

After what started off as a horrible day we had plumbing issues on top of it. Cody came in and fixed it without hesitation and had the best attitude. I know it’s something small but he was a breath of fresh air. Thank you

Clay joints, root mats & backups

Ninety years of service. One bad Tuesday. Fixable.

The clay lines under Park Ridge have outlived their installers and most of their warranties. They keep working — as long as someone periodically evicts the roots. That’s us.
“I’m worried the cable will hurt a line this old.”
A fair worry, and the answer is technique. Old clay tolerates proper rodding well — measured feed, the right head, and no bulldozing past hard stops without a camera look first. It’s the careless version that causes stories. Afterward you’ll see the line on screen, intact and open, which beats taking our word.

Before we start

“The tub fills with gray water on its own.”
Water arriving uninvited is water that couldn’t leave — the main is blocked, and the tub is the lowest exit it found. In Park Ridge that blockage is usually a root mat at a clay joint. The cable cuts it out, the tub drains, and the camera shows the joint that let it happen.
“The parkway tree owns our sewer line.”
It certainly acts like it. Big old trees send roots to the nearest water source, and a weeping clay joint is irresistible. The good news: ownership is reversible. Cutting reclaims the line for modest money, and if you’re done renting it back every year, sealing the entry ends the lease.

How it works

Respect for the pipe, no mercy for the clog.

Park Ridge roddings are careful by design — these lines have decades left if they’re treated right, and treating them right is the whole point of hiring us.
  1. Start with the story.

How old the house is, where the trees stand, when this last happened — the details tell us what we're walking into and let us bring the heads an old clay line prefers.

  2. Measured clearing.

The cable advances at the pipe's pace. Roots get sheared clean at every joint they've breached; anything solid gets looked at before it gets challenged. Old lines reward that patience.

  3. The joint-by-joint read.

On camera we walk the line together — which joints leak, which roots will return, what's cosmetic versus what matters. Park Ridge homeowners then get the honest menu in writing: seasonal clearing, targeted sealing, or nothing yet.

  4. Open, intact, on record.

Full flow past every joint while the camera documents it. The footage is yours — proof of clearing and a condition report in one.

Not sure yours needs fixing yet?

Call and ask. We’d rather talk you out of a repair than sell you one you didn’t need.

THE DIAGNOSIS
Every joint gets graded
Clay lines live and die at their joints, so that’s what we examine — which are tight, which weep, which invite roots. You see the map.
